download "Mac 2014 Jan 2 Green Globs Pkg, Escape, Relating Graphs,
Manuals.dmg" (3.5 MB). This download contains three applications, a
teachers' manual for each application, and brief installation notes.
For current license
holders, these apps are drop-in
replacements for your existing Mac versions of Green Globs &
Graphing Equations, Escape, and Relating Graphs to Events. All of your
existing Records files (including Globs/Tracker Records) will continue
to work. The program
features remain the same, except that List Files are not implemented in
Green Globs &
Graphing Equations. The file name for "Green Globs & Graphing Equations"
has been shortened to "Green Globs Pkg" to meet current app
requirements.
The file name for "Relating Graphs to Events.app" has been shortened to
"Relating Graphs.app".
There are no known errors in these updates. They have not been tested
in Snow Leopard. (If you try them there, please tell us
your results.)

PC Version Notes: These
downloads do not
include file "Green Globs Records.ggg", which contains your license
information.
You must already
have file "Green Globs Records. ggg" in order for any of these
applications to run. See the "Read Me Install" file in each
download.
Each download includes the manual for that application.
The three application files are packaged as three separate
installations, to allow flexibility in your installation. The
default is to install them all in folder "Green Globs" in the Programs
folder, and to group all three in the Start - All Programs menu under
"Green Globs & Graphing Equations".
If you have an older version of a program installed, you do not need to
un-install it. Just install the new version into the same folder
as the old version, and the installer will replace your old version
with the new version. The installer simply replaces your old
".exe" file with the new ".exe" file; the installer will not
affect any of your "Green Globs Records.ggg" files or require any
changes.
PC Version History:
For "Green Globs & Graphing Equations", PC version 3.2 was the
initial release, in June, 2008. PC version 3.3 was released in
September, 2008, to display the encrypted license information on the
title screen properly in the Chinese version of Windows. PC version 3.4
fixed an error in the "Restart Game" button in
a Green Globs game. (In version 3.3, if one of the shots had missed all
the globs, "Restart Game" would not erase all the previous shots, and
you would need to click the "Remove Graphs" button to erase the
remaining shots.) PC version 3.5 added
displays for netbooks with 1024 by 600 displays.
For "Relating Graphs to Events" and "Escape!", PC version 2.2 is the
initial release. Version 1 for these two programs was 28 years
ago for PC-DOS. The package containing these two files was called
"Interpreting Graphs". It was released at the same time as "Green Globs
& Graphing Equations". Both packages received Classroom Computer
Learning's "Best Software of the Year" award that year. (Our publisher
refused a Windows versions of Interpreting Graphs.) PC version 2.3 added
displays for netbooks with 1024 by 600 displays.

have file "Globs/Tracker
Records" in
order for any of these
applications to run. See the "Installation Notes" file in
the download.
The download includes three application files and a manual for each
application, all in one "dmg" file. There is no installation
program. After downloading and opening the "dmg" file, you can
copy any or all of the applications to one or more folders (such as a
"Green Globs" folder in your Applications folder). Any folder
containing one of the application files must also contain a copy of
your "Globs/Tracker Records" file in order for the application to
run.
Mac Version History:
For Mac OS X "Green
Globs & Graphing Equations", version 3.3 was the initial release in
April, 2008.
Version 3.4 was released in June, 2008. The change
from version 3.3 was that version 3.4 does not hide all windows when
you switch to another application.
If you want that in version 3.4, select the "Hide" menu option in the
Green Globs & Graphing Equations menu.
Version 3.5 fixed an error in version 3.4. In version 3.4, when
you are at the
display of the top ten scores in a Records file, you cannot use the
File menu's "Open..." option to load a game previously saved to disk
using the File menu's "Save..." option.
For Mac OS X "Relating Graphs to Events" and "Escape!", version 2.1
(December, 2008) was the initial release. Version 1 for these two
programs was 28
years
ago for Apple II+. The package containing these two files was called
"Interpreting Graphs". It was released at the same time as "Green Globs
& Graphing Equations". Both packages received Classroom Computer
Learning's "Best Software of the Year" award that year. (Our publisher
refused a Macintosh version of Interpreting Graphs.)
